Coming up on Thursday, June 2, the community welcomes Ryan Straschnitzki to Drumheller for a speaking event at the Badlands Community Facility. The free evening will focus on how we can become a barrier-free community. Straschnitzki was a player with the Humboldt Broncos back in 2017-2018 involved in their bus crash south of Nipawin, Saskatchewan. He now plays on Team Alberta's para-ice hockey and has a dream of to play on the 2026 Team Canada para-ice hockey team.
Donations at the event will be accepted towards the new accessible Midland Outdoor Rink.
